AP PGECET 2015 Counselling Procedure

AP PGECET 2015 Counselling- Candidates can apply for the Counselling of AP PGECET 2015 tentatively in July 2015. Candidates will have to complete their document verification before applying and entering their choices for seat allotment. Candidates will have to pay the counselling fee at the designated help centres during their document verification. The AP PGECET 2015 Counselling will be held in 2 phases. AP PGECET 2015 Counselling consists of the following stages: 1. Document Verification:

Candidates must report to the designated Help Centers for their document verification as per the Counselling Schedule that will be announced by the authorities.
Document Verification for GATE qualified candidates will be held first followed by the document verification the AP PGECET 2015 qualified candidates.
For Special categories like NCC, CAP, Sports, PH, the document verification will be on held separately
Candidates have to furnish their original document as per the list given below at the help centres and submit the Xerox copies of the same after completion of the document verification.
Candidates who have qualified in more than 1 exam must attend the verification only once and submit the hall ticket details of the others to the verification officer.
Candidates will be called for registration as per their GATE/ AP PGECET 2015 Ranks
They have to sign in the register after paying the non-refundable processing fee of Rs 600 (Rs 300 for SC/ST/PH).
They can attend the document verification only after payment of the fees.
It is mandatory for each candidate to register a mobile number at the time of Verification to enable the authorities to send SMS regarding the AP PGECET 2015 Counselling, Seat Allotment and other important information.
After registration, a One Time Password will be sent to the registered mobile number.
Any Request for change of mobile number will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Candidates must collect the Receipt of Certificates from the counter after completing their document verification
They must verify the details of their mobile number, caste category, local area, gender, minority, parental income, special category, date of birth, eligible degree, specialization and details of other PGECET examinations printed on receipt of certificates.
Any discrepancy should be brought to the notice of Camp Officer / Co-ordinator immediately for corrections as the Seat allotment process depends on the accuracy of the furnished data.

Important:

After the completion of the Document verification, candidates must collect their Scratch card from Help Centers.
They must not reveal the serial number and password contained in the Scratch Card to any one including officials.

Important: After completing their document verification, candidates can register and log in for their web option entry. Documents to be furnished in original for AP PGECET 2015 Counselling: Note: Candidates must submit a set of Xerox copies to the officer after verification

Memo of SSC or its equivalent
Study certificates from Class X to Graduation
Qualifying Degree Certificate & Memorandum of marks of qualifying Examination
GATE 2014/GATE 2015 Score Card / AP PGECET 2015 Rank Card
AP PGECET 2015 Hall Ticket
Integrated community certificate issued by the Mandal Revenue Officer [MRO]in case of BC/SC/ST candidates
Residence certificate for preceding 7 years of the qualifying examination only for candidates who have private study without any institutionalized education
Residence Certificate of father or mother for a period of 10 years in Telangana/A.P. excluding the period of their employment outside Telangana/A.P. from M.R.O ( in case of candidates who studied outside the state of Telangana/AP)
Transfer Certificate
Income Certificate

The candidates under NCC,CAP, Sports and PH categories have to also submit the following documents: PH Category:

Only candidates who have disability of 40% and above are eligible
Candidates have to produce a certificate issued by the District Medical Board

CAP Category: Ex-Servicemen have to produce:

Service Certificate issued by Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer.
Identity Card
Discharge Book for verification.

Serving persons have to produce:

Service Certificate from the place of Work indicating the relationship with the Candidate.
Only Candidates whose parents are domicile of Telangana/A.P. are eligible to be considered under “CAP” Category.

NCC Category:

Candidates have to produce concerned certificates along with A, B, C certificate(s)

AP PGECET 2015 Help Centers are as follows: will be updated once the details are announced 2. Web Option Entry: (Link will be announced later)

The Option form will display colleges on the left side in a window with details of all the eligible colleges based on gender and specialization
Two types of filters are available to minimize the selection list- first one in Alphabetical order and the second one as per the District
Candidates must choose and add their preferences of colleges, courses as per the given list
After completion of their Option Entry, candidates must click on Save button and enter the password through the virtual key board available on the screen
The password to be entered is the one which they have received by SMS. After entering the password, they must click the Confirm button
The selected options are saved in the Server.
Candidates can see their saved options in printed format.
Candidates are advised to take a print of their saved option and verify thoroughly the colleges and their priority
The options registered in the server will be frozen automatically on the last day specified in the notification and shall be used for seat allotment

3. Seat Allotment:

The AP PGECET 2015 Seat Allotment will be made in the order of preference of options as entered by the candidates and the GATE/AP PGECET Ranks.
The Seat Allotment results will be communicated through SMS message to the registered mobile number,
Candidates must check and take a print of the provisional allotment order from the website

AP PGECET 2015 Counselling Phase 2:

The 2^nd Phase of AP PGECET 2015 Counselling will be conducted for any vacant seats left after the AP PGECET 2015 Counselling Phase 1.
The options exercised for AP PGECET Counselling Phase 1 will not be considered for the 2^nd phase.
Candidates have to exercise fresh options for each phase of web based counseling unless they are satisfied with their phase 1 Seat Allotment
Options may be exercised for those colleges even if the vacancies are not available, as vacancies may arise due to sliding, cancellation and conversions

Who should participate in AP PGECET 2015 Counselling Phase 2?

Candidates who have participated in AP PGECET 2015 Counselling Phase 1 and could not secure a seat.
Candidates who secured a seat in the Phase 1 of AP PGECET 2015 counselling and are not satisfied with their Seat Allotment
Candidates who did not participate in AP PGECET 2015 Counselling Phase inspite of being called for counseling
Candidates who were allotted a seat but did not report at the scheduled date and time
Candidates who have cancelled their admissions after being allotted a seat in the first phase
